Gym Session :: 06/18/2011

Happy Saturday Everyone! I've been super busy the past week (and i'm supposed to be on vacation lol).. Started off this morning super early by taking my oldest daughter to her Dentist appointment. luckily it wasn't too long - afterwards, went home scooped up Jasli and Daddy and headed off to the gym.

The girls actually love coming with us to the gym because they have a kid's club and it's fun for the girls to play with other kids over there. Today I worked out chest/back and did some cardio as well.

Here is my workout for today:

Back:

- Cable Row - 75lbs - 5 sets of 5 repetitions

- Lat Pull Down (Wide Grip) - 60lbs - 3 sets of 8 repetitions

- Bent Over Barbell Rows (from ground) - 40lbs - 3 sets of 12 repetitions

- One Arm Pull-Down (machine + free weights) 30lb each side - 3 sets of 12 repetitions

Chest:

- Barbell Bench Press - 65lbs - 5 sets of 5 repetitions

- Incline Dumbbell Press - 15lbs each hand - 3 sets of 8 repetitions

- Dumbbell Flyes - 10lbs each hand - 3 sets of 8 repetitions

Abs:

- Crunches - (Ab Machine) - 3 sets of 30 repetitions

- Leg Lifts - (bodyweight) - 3 sets of 25 repetitions

Cardio:

- 10 minutes on stair master

- 15 minutes on treadmill (incline - light jog)

That pretty much was my workout for today! I just got back from the mall with the kiddos - since Hubby got called in to work some overtime (we were all supposed to go shopping).. 

The mall we went to was a disaster lol so many people last minute shopping like myself lol - not to mention longest lines ever, clothes everywhere.. and then the kids got a balloon each, but of course it was so crowded The little one let go on accident and i couldn't retrieve it lol. but she was in good spirits and kept saying, "it's okay mommy". i felt horrible lol.. if daddy was there he would've been able to get it :D

anywho... it all of a sudden is like super hot outside.. I swear the weather is bipolar around my neck of the woods.. but i guess i can't complain :) I hope all of you have a fantastic weekend - please enjoy father's day with your families! till my next blog!

FOTN: Yellows/Purples (inspired look) & MAC Mini Haul

Okay so.. i was real bored today.. especially when it was just Jasmyn and I at home, while everyone went to pick up my FIL from the airport..

Jasmyn only wanted to watch her Ni Hao Kailan show, and I saw miss Tina Marie Online had posted a new tutorial and I thought to myself.. I don't have enough time to edit my video right now before the gym.. and this was the only chance I had at doing any type of makeup lol.. so i said shooot why not, I need to practice on my blending lol (cause i suck sometimes!)

but anyway this look was inspired by Tina Marie Online, and I know my look is no where near hers as she is a rare talent indeed.. but i loved the colors and her little tutorial - so enjoy!

(please excuse the crooked eyeliner - i'm not used to using liquid eyeliner just yet - since i'm always usually using pencil eyeliner! LOL).. but here ya go! let me know what you think and if you have any CC - i'd love to know what you'd think (be nice lol!)












Gosh - I don't even remember when I went.. but I think on the weekend I went to the mall to check out Viva Glam Lady Gaga lipstick.. and decided to pick up some brushes while I was at it..

and the lipstick.. i'm not even really sure how i like it yet - it's real pink.. i think with a neutral eye it'll look alright.. then again i'm not really used to wearing lipstick, so i probably just don't know how to wear it (any tips?! lol)..

Got My NYX Cosmetics from CherryCulture, FOTN & Some other things too

Okay, i'm really late on this "haul" lol.. okay maybe it's not a haul, since every other freakin post lately has been a Haul.. i SWEAR.. this month has been the only time i've ever bought much make-up since Hubby and I are saving like crazy :)

But anyhow.. :) remember my post about going to ulta and them not having my jumbo eyeshadow pencil in milk and the other lipsticks.. fail x2? lol.. well I finally just decided to freakin buy it from cherryculture.com (which they are having a 20% off sale right now! - so gooo while it's still on!)

I ordered my stuff 02/02/10.. and it came in the mail on 02/04/10.. that was fast! considering i purchased my items on 02/02/10 at like 7PM lol it came bright and early on thursday mornin!

Anyway, to get the the things I got, and am so eager to share them all with you since most of these items were like 1.75 a piece! or something lol..

The lipsticks (Hermes, Indian Pink & Thalia)



Hermes - a brownish with a hint of orangey shade lol i don't know but i like it!


Indian Pink - a light-pinkish with a goldy shade, it's okay on me i think ;)


Thalia - Like a very light mauvy-brown-nude color on me, don't really know how to explain it.. but i actually like it!

(LOL - sorry for the terrible descriptions of the colors haha!)

And finally - the ONE thing i have wanted forever it feels like LOL.. ;)

NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow in Milk





I have been wanting this to use as a base for my eyeshadows to get a more vivid look! so YAY! lol.. Can't wait to wear this though! :)



So I found out.. a little too late (when I needed to use it).. that I ran out of my eyeliner (MAC's Graphblack Pencil).. and well the mall was close to closing time and it would take me forever to get my girls ready and then forever to get their.. so i decided to go to target and try out something NEW!...

Well.. I ended up accidentally getting a Loreal Liquid Liner in freaking BROWN because I was dumb and didn't read well.. because I guess I was thinking black, and in my mind i swore it was black, but when i took it home.. it was BROWN! WAHHH lol.. well i didn't think anything of it.. i said.. I guess i'll just try the "natural" look tomorrow for work..

I also got this from target since I was on the hunt for a new chapstick and saw this was a "minty" fresh feeling lol..

I must say that it's not as minty as i want it to be.. but it is minty, but it DOES work! I swear! My lipstick pictures on the other posts, my lips were chapped and peeling.. and the ones i took (that are in this post) my lips are super soft and not dry anymore! and that was only after 2 applications! :) so i like this chapstick.. too bad there was only this one left lol

Anyway, back to my "natural" look.. I did.. and turned out, that it made me look like &#%^%^$%!#@!! lol.. i kept getting asked, "are you still sick?" "ohh.. you look real sick".. i guess cause it looked like i wasn't wearing any liner.. and it ended up just making me look like i had dark bags under my eyes (the shadowing i guess lol).. so lesson learned - never get brown ever.. just doesn't go with me lol..

So on Friday, after work - i didn't have time to go to the mall, since my little one was sick on thursday evening and there was a walgreens right down the street from my work.. so i decided to go.. and i decided to try these out..


Maybelline's Lasting Drama by Eyestudio.. This is a Gel Liner, reminded me of MAC's Fluidline Blacktrack.. but I think this is more creamy/gelly than my Fluidline.. I'm going to give it a try and let you all know what I think about it..




This was the second eyeliner I decided to try out.. because I want to try using Liquid liner, since all i use is pencil.. I thought this would be a good time to try some different eyeliners (types etc).. :) so i'll also get back to you on this one haha ;)


Okay, this is my FOTN, my digital camera has been acting funny, so i couldn't take a good picture, but excuse how i look on My FOTN, can't really see the beautiful colors i used from one of the trio palette's from NYX (i think i'm really starting to l-o-v-e nyx cosmetics! hehe)

but yea i did taxes for 4 hours today (had to accompany my dad, so it's been a long day lol



I'll let you all know how i like the eyeliners :) it'll be a change for me - since i'm sooo used to using pencil liner.. ;) wish me luck!

a lot of ground to cover...

Alright Ladies! So let's start with Friday! (even though previous post was talking about Friday LOL)...

So Friday - I decided to do a different, more colorful look (instead of my usual black/brown smokey eye)..

Sorry if it's a bit blurry - i was trying to snap this as quickly as I could before a patient or my co-worker (even supervisor) walked by LOL!



I used the colors from my BH Cosmetics 120 Eyeshadow Palette (2nd edition).. I used a yellowish/gold, a purple, a darker purple/plum and then turquoise.. :) I kinda liked it! minus the lipstick color of choice (i'm normally not a lipstick wearer lol) what do you think?

I had a few girls on my mommy forum (www.WOrldForMOms.com request a tutorial on this, so I will try my best to get to that tomorrow! I didn't do much after work.. just laundry, cleaning and hanging with my munchkins!

As for This Morning - went to the gym bright and early with Karen & Derick.. was gonna take Tianna to her dance class, but she was so stuffy and coughing, we opted not too.. didn't want her to get more sick or her asthma flare up.. and we didn't want to spread her germies to the other students/parents etc..

So we basically stayed home relaxing most of the day.. well i was cleaning and looking at stuff online as usual lol..

Hubby went to work at 4PM, the girls were still napping.. so i was re-arranging my makeup box (which isn't as full as i'd like it to be - but i'm working on it!).. So later on towards the rest of the day.. dropped the girls off at my parents house...well ended up bringing Tianna cause she begged and pleaded and I gave in lol.. I swear my girls have turned me into a big ol softie!

anywho.. I went to Glendale Galleria and bought myself 3 lipsticks and 1 lipglass, also went to sephora to purchase Make Up For ever HD foundation and Powder.. so i'm SUPER excited to show you all!

i'm going to be taking pictures and a new FOTD (i think i could get used to that).. and show you all what i've got.. hrmph.. maybe a good idea someone mentioned was to do my very first Video Haul! lol.. i'm such a geek.. but we'll see! :)
