Hi All! :) Hope your enjoying your weekend this far! :)
I recorded this tutorial yesterday and wanted to share it with all of you! It's really fun & simple eyeshadow look using purple and gold eyeshadows. I wanted to do something different than my normal brown smokey eye.. and although i'm not too fond of using bright colors, i toned it down a bit :) but it is still fun to wear.
I hope you enjoy it - there will be more to come!

I'm sure plenty of you have heard about Sigma's new Brush Drying system. If you haven't and you own make-up brushes and currently are at wits end when you wash and air dry them.. you don't have to pull your hair out!
I have read on twitter, Sigma launch this latest invention about a month ago - I did purchase this myself with my own money because I honestly dreaded when I had to wash my brushes because they'd never be ready the next day when I needed them when i was to get ready for work.
So when I heard about this revolutionary brush drying system that guaranteed to completely dry my brushes in 4-6 hours - i was like.. I HAVE TO TRY THIS!
I then decided to jump on the band wagon and purchase it. I was skeptical because the Sigmax Brushes (F80, F82, F84) are SO dense - those take like 2-3 days to dry when I would air dry them (with brush guards)
I did a lot of reading about this product that it did in fact dry the Sigmax brushes in 6 hours.
I did a mini Demo with washing my brushes & air drying them - some with brush guards, some with out.. and then i washed my brushes the next day testing the Sigma Shape'N Dry system.. and here is the video so you can see it live:
I must say - the video honestly does not do the Sigma Dry'N Shape justice - cause you can't really see how dry the brushes are compared to when I air-dryed them - when I air dryed the brushes.. they were Still completely wet that i couldn't use them when I was getting ready for work (only the eye brushes dryed, but still took over 8 hours to dry overnight)..
After washing - this was air drying/putting them in brush guards
Brush above - still super wet..
Eye brushes were rather dry though..
this is how i like to use the Dry N' Shape to dry my brushes
but my overall thoughts of this product:
Packaging: 4.5/5 Like I mentioned - Sigma always packages their products so neatly. The product came with really informative brochure on how to use the product and a lot of information on the product itself. I love the box that it came in - their signature 'Sigma Beauty' stamped on it. I am such a fan of their packaging and every little detail they add to make it their own. the Dry'N Shape itself is a sturdy/durable product. the black color makes it very sleek and modern and I like that you can have it hold your brushes as well if you were to travel :)
Quality: 4.5/5 Like I mentioned - extremely durable/sturdy material - at the same time the texture is just so soft! the elastic bands are also sturdy - the make is not flimsy at all. i'm sure i'll get a lot of use from this product. i'm very curious to see how long it will last before you'll notice any wear and tear. but seems very solid.
Usage: 4/5 It's quite simple to use, and they have a video on their youtube channel which i believe shows you how to use it. it comes with a little pamphlet on how to use it as well in the box it comes with. when it is brand new, it is quite difficult to put the brush in because it's so new and tight.. but otherwise - it's a breeze to use.
Overall: 4.5/5 An extremely well rounded product that really does what it promises. dries my brushes in record time. I never have to wait overnight and hope my brushes are ready for me to use when i get ready for work. I will most likely be purchasing another one only because I have so many brushes and i'd like to just wash them once and have them be done! so i definitely recommend this - especially for the price - if you have make-up brushes, hate waiting for them to dry like I do. they also keep your brushes looking like new by keeping them in shape. with the brush guards - they weren't as tight, and still would be wet in the middle that when i'd remove the brush guard - the bristles would just splay everywhere. I like that after washing my brushes - i can take them with me if i needed to use them, knowing they are clean and ready to be used!

I cannot believe that April is just about almost finished and May is right around the corner! I've barely any time to study for my Anatomy & Physiology test that is scheduled for May 13th!! jeebus!
Anywho - things have been so hectic (when is it not?) i can barely remember anything from last week, except this past weekend was a nightmare!
However, if you're not following me on twitter - my youngest toddler Jasmyn has started preschool! :) she goes to the same school (and same class as her 4.5 year old sister).. we're kind of testing it out and seeing how she likes it more than anything. Her big Sister Tianna will be starting Kindergarten this coming fall (OMG!)
anywho.. on to the weekend..
started saturday, hubby and i went to a good friend/co-worker's wedding ceremony, it was so beautiful! it was my first time going to a wedding ceremony and it was just amazing watching two people commit themselves to one another in love.. :)
after the wedding ceremony was over (it was at 12 noon) their reception wasn't until 5PM, so we thought we'd do some errands and get ready for the evening. My husband is in a basket ball league (nothing big/fancy etc) with my brother and their friends.. and they had a game at 1:00PM.. well hubby wanted to go, so we quickly rushed home to get all his belongings to go to the game.
mind you a month prior to this - he had sprained his right ankle really badly and had to go to ER for that... he had surgery on that ankle too about 3 years ago..
anyway, well we got to the game, we were only like 10-15 minutes late.. so didn't miss out on too much.. and he got to play a bit.. everything was going swell.. my brother's girlfriend Karen was there and she was recording the game (we always do so the guys can see their team plays etc, etc)..
It was the start of the 2nd half of the game.. the game was going.. and a fast break happened at the end of the other court where everyone was running down.. including my husband.. when this happened...
(My husband is the one in the Black jersey #10)
It was BAD.. he hit his face first from the player who stopped and went to his left - totally caught hubby off guard, and with the momentum - he fell backwards and totally hit the back/side area of his head.. he was knocked out for like 30secs to a min.. (in all honesty, it felt like forever)..
after him wobbling up (and it's trimmed in this youtube video - he uploaded it to show his friends LOL boys) .. i quickly ran to his side.. and being the nurse that i am - quickly assessed him asking him some questions to see how bad the head injury he had sustained was..
he was okay the first 2 minutes after it happened.. he had a cut on his lip and a abrasion on his cheek from where the other players head/hair got him..
then it just happened so quickly - i had to keep asking him, what's your name, what's todays date, where are we.. and when he started answering them wrong (he had answered them right 2 minutes prior).. i started to worry..
when he actually told me - i'm not feeling good at all, i knew that was our Queue... get the heck out and get him to ER...
the ride to the hospital was so scary.. mind you - i've never known anyone (even come across a patient) that's had a concussion so i wasn't sure what to expect.. My husband kept asking me the same question every 10 seconds (i'm not exaggerating at all).. he was saying "ow, my face hurts - what happened?", i'd say - "you hit your head really badly", he'd go "how? what was i doing?"
that went on the whole car ride there.. and then checking in was ahhh! although it was quite scary, we look back at it and it was quite comical the things he was saying to the staff etc..
so it was 2 hours after the injury.. and he barely started to come back.. they diagnosed him with a concussion (basically a bruise on the brain).. the dr said he couldn't sleep and needed to be around people to watch him/keep an eye on him.. (he had a CT Scan of the brain and some face x-rays to make sure his cheek/orbital area and nose were not broken and also his neck since it snapped back and forth on the way down when he hit his head).. i didn't know if it was a good idea that we continue on the our co-workers wedding reception.. but i'd feel terrible if i didn't go.. and i'd feel even more terrible if i left my hubby at home..
so HE actually asked the doctor if it was okay he attend.. the dr thought it was in his best interest to go to stay awake.. lol.. that and our doctor friend was going to be there, and we're all nurses so i thought.. hmm i guess so.. he insisted..
so we went - everyone asked what happened.. of course he didn't remember and i did most of the talking - poor thing.. he was so there, but not really.. he was aloof at times..
anyway, our doctor friend that was there was asking me if he was being repetitive asking the same questions after the injury.. and asking about all the symptoms that he was having.. and he was spot on with what happened..
poor thing.. anyway we ended up staying for an hour or two.. hubby was okay.. he rested that night - not too well of course.. and sunday came and went.. i was busy tending to him since his head was pounding, his face was pounding.. and i was trying to keep the girls quiet while he rested.. luckily my in-laws came to the rescue and took the girls to church and lunch while i got some things done at home and took care of my hubby..
Monday came.. i thought it was too soon for my hubby to go back to work - but he insisted he go because he just started at his new position and did not want to miss it.. (we carpool and work at the same company, just different departments/buildings).. and in the morning he was 'okay'.. but i just felt that he shouldn't be at work.. since his job - he's up on his feet all day assisting the doctor with procedures..
that's when i found out that he returned to the ER during lunch time (when we usually have lunch).. i seriously RAN despite my bum knee.. to the ER and had to wait for them to locate him.. they said he was there, but not in a room.. so i waited.. and finally got the okay to go back to see him.. poor thing looked SO miserable :(
he had another CT Scan to make sure no new bleeding had occured.. which thankfully it didn't.. but the doctor said he suffered from post concussive syndrome and the symptoms could last from a week up to a month.. if at that..
so he couldn't drive and couldn't really function.. so i had to take the rest of the afternoon off work and thankfully my work gave me today off as well.. he's still having a lot of pain/headache etc.. but he's recovering slowly..
so that was my weekend lol.. and my monday.. i don't want to go to work tomorrow, but i have to :(
Hey all! Remember like last month - i was going to cut my hair short? and ended up just getting a trim because i chickened out and wasn't even sure what i wanted to do with my hair lol..
well this month - the mini heatwave we had.. made me want to cut my hair.. and i ended up taking this super quick video about it LOL
And then here is my video response on what i ended up doing to my hair! mind you this was after a long days worth of work, the house was SOOOO hot when i got home because our air conditioner was broken and we're trying to get it fixed.. and even opening the windows wasn't helping.. i got home and straight knocked out! took an hour nap! lol.. and then afterwards decided to film this lol..
if you already follow me on twitter, then this post is old news to you lol. i ended up cutting my hair shoulder length, well it sits right at my shoulders and has short layers on the bottom. i decided to only trim the bangs a little just incase i wanted to put it in a pouf lol or whatever.. well anywho - hope you all like it!
i've officially had long hair for 2.5 years and loved it, but even my hair stylist said i look better with short hair, because long hair didn't do anything for my face shape =/ that and it was a pain in the booty for me to fix especially being a busy and on the go mommy all the time lol, anyway! stay tuned for my next blog/video! :)
So YAY! finally a tutorial.. it may not be the best, but it is one! and i hope by my subbies that watch, i'll get some feedback and see what i can improve etc.. ;) so enjoy!

So I've been totally addicted to doing YT videos (can you tell?) lol.. I just think it's an outlet for me to show people who i am and my personality.. that and this is the only way i get to share my passion for the things i love (besides my family <3 <3)
A lot of my friends don't really have the same interest in make-up and fitness/exercising as I do.. so hence the blog, the YT channel and the like.. I at least get to interact and communicate to those that share my passion, or want to get into make-up/beauty/health etc..
enough of my rambling.. Here are my Favorite beauty Products for July!
Products Mentioned:
1. MAC Mineralized Skinfinish Natural in Medium
I have not stopped reaching for it this whole month of July. Prior to finding this, I was using the MAC Sheer Pressed Powder but noticed i kept coming back to MSFN. I believe it's because when i used it to set my foundation, it just made my skin look so natural and i liked it! it wasn't heavy or made me cakey, and it was easy to apply. I've used it everyday and it has not budged lol! love this stuff and would reccomend it for those that are looking into something from MAC to set the foundation and if the Sheer pressed powder is not enough coverage.
2. MAC By Candlelight MSF
I didn't really get into Mineralized Skinfinishes just until a month before Stereo Rose came out.. and they repromoted By Candlelight as well, after doing tons of research/looking at swatches and then looking for myself in store, i've fell in love with this product. i use it to highlight my skin, and place it where light/sun would reflect off of.. giving me such a natural radiance to the skin.. it was perfect for summer and still is!
3. MAC Stereo Rose MSF
like mentioned above I got it with By Candlelight MSF and i absolutely love these two together as well.. i didn't think i'd get into the hype, but this product does give me this lovely glow to the cheeks.. it was a perfect color for summer! i loved it and had used it quite often!
4. MAC Fluerry Powder Blush (D/C)
after seeing many swatches of this particular blush, I knew I had to have it.. and ever since I purchased it from someone online (in perfect condition, might i add) and the first use.. I WAS IN LOVE! there was a point where I wore this particular blush and only this blush for 2.5 weeks! it gave my skin an amazing glow but was definitely not over the top. It's a Frost, and i'd thought Frost = fall out or sparkly glitter chunks lol.. but it was far from it.. it made my cheeks glisten in radiance in all the right places.. and the color went with mostly everything!
5. Diorskin Nude Foundation in Linen (021)
I purchased this on a whim.. my first purchase of dior anything! i was quite impressed at how much the foundation felt like skin on me.. like my skin but better. the smell wasn't as bad, it was pleasant. i can't put my tongue on the word.. but i actually grew to like it! the coverage was great, except on my t-zone which is my problem area. so i don't use it that much only on special occassions because it is pricey.. and don't wanna waste it..
6. Korres Blush in #15 Natural OMG this blush is love! if i'm in a hurry and just wanted a touch/hint of color or add a stunning glow to my cheeks - this would be it! and it lasts all day on my greaseball/oily skin! i love this blush, it feels so satiny on my cheeks, and it's not blotchy at all. extremely pigmented and just overall a great color for my skintone!
So these are my favorites! hope you all enjoyed the video! and if you haven't subscribed to my channel/blog - please do it's FREE! and don't forget the "thumbs up!"
So this is my first drugstore haul video (NO I'm not new to drugstore products - i do use them often) but i have not done a drugstore video haul ever.. sooo :) here's my first one.
Yes i didn't edit some of the bloopers as there were WAYYY too many lol.. my girls were napping and I was in a hurry and wanted to record before they woke up..
Yes I'm aware that Korres is NOT a drugstore product, but since I just got it last week i wanted to include it in my haul because it is just that awesome not to show ya'll!
but on to the Video! Hope you "Like" it!
