- Flat Bench Press (olympic Bar + weights) - 65lbs - 5 sets of 5 repetitions

Abs:
3 sets of 30 crunches on the ab machine (lying down)
3 sets of 15 hanging leg lifts

Video :: Squats & Rack Pulls

So I actually posted these on my Youtube channel awhile back, and decided to go ahead and post them here on my blog for those that aren't following my youtube channel or my twitter.

These are a few months old, i did lose a few pounds from then, got injured lol.. but here are two videos (only ones I have from the gym doing squats and Rack Pulls).

Rack Pulls (should start right below the knee)

135lbs - 5 reps

Squats (ATG @$$ to grass :D)

135lbs 5 reps

I know a few months ago - a couple people on twitter had asked me to upload some videos. I wanted to show these to you ladies to inspire you that you don't have to be afraid of weights! :)

Also! wanted to update you all - Hubby and I have put together our second squat rack this past weekend! we had one and just added another to the family (our garage).. let me know in the comments if any of you are interested to see them! or how we have it set up at the moment.. it is still in the beginning process of a home gym - but i'm SO excited that hubby is building one for us!

Hopefully we can save up for some really awesome dumbbells to go with everything - and then we'll sorta be complete!

Sorry for the lack of videos though, been having a hard time with my macbook pro and it's what i use to edit my videos - need more RAM.. so until then, hope you enjoy my random blogging!

Review :: Sigma Flat Top Synthetic Kabuki - F80 & Giveaway(CLOSED)!

So i wanted to rave about one of my most favorite face brushes that i've been using for many, many, many months and have featured on a few of my monthly favorite posts.

it's no secret - it's the Sigma Flat top synthetic kabuki, best known as the F80 brush.

the description from the Sigma beauty website:
"This Exclusive flat top synthetic kabuki was designed to deliver a flawless makeup application. The Sigma Makeup F80 is a buffer brush that can be used to blend powder or liquid products. The short and dense bristles make it easy to buff your liquid foundation. The long handle adds comfort to your makeup application. The synthetic fibers are ideal to be used with liquid products and can be easily cleaned. Made of Synthetic Sigmax HD filament"

you can find this product here:

Here are some pictures of the Brush:
it's the one in the middle :)
doesn't it just look SO soft?!

this could be yours! :)

I absolutely love this brush. it NEVER has shed on me, ever! and the way it blends does exactly what it's supposed to - deliver a flawless makeup application. makes my liquid foundation blend like a dream onto my skin and looks airbrushed!

i've used this for liquid foundation and some thicker foundations and all same outcome - an amazing flawless looking face!

I actually have used this in most pictures - here's a recent one of me when i've used it :D don't know if you can tell, but the foundation i used applied with the Sigma F80 was flawless :)

on to the review:

Packaging: 4.5/5
I absolutely love how creative Sigma is, putting their single brushes in this type of  this bag as well as a pamphlet on the items inside. Also love how it comes with it's own brush guard type protector so the bristles will not get ruined! so i gave it a 4.5 out of 5.

Quality: 4/5
I think you get your best bang for your best buck. these are such decent priced brushes that ultimately gives you what it's meant to do - flawless application. no streakiness or blotchiness - straight flawless! that's my thoughts on this.

Usage: 3.5/5
Very easy to use,  a pain in the rear to clean/wash. the bristles are SUPER dense that if you were to hand wash these they'd take more than overnight to dry. even if you have a brush guard on them.. they'd still be damp and the bristles splayed all over the place. otherwise super easy to use the brush when it's clean and ready to be used.

Overall 4/5
I think this is an amazing brush for those that don't have anything quite like it. i have a stippling brush and let me tell you - it's NOT the same... i absolutely love mine so much that i'm going to be giving 1 away to 1 lucky winner! the best part of this brush is that it's not so heavy, not too short, but the handle is just perfect for perfecting the blending on the face lol.

6 Best Butt Workouts for Women :: Total Beauty

Did you know that your booty (ahem, gluteus maximus) is the largest muscle in your body? So why is it that the exercise we practice most for this massive muscle is called the sit-on-it-for-hours? OK, that's not really a butt workout exercise (duh), but it's truly our butts' favorite pastime. Until now. We're here to change all that.

What i've been up to lately..

so it's been quite a while since my last blog post!

i've been extremely busy! from las vegas, to failing my anatomy and physiology test, to trading in my car.. it's been super busy around my house lol

hubby has actually started to build our own home gym.. we have acquired two squat racks, a barbell set with weights (300lbs) and as soon as we get some dumb bells i think i might just cancel my gym membership.. really depends....

Also - got a new layout for my mommy website (worldformoms.com) if you want to check it out - or even know any moms that may be interested...

i know i've been MIA for awhile, but i've been trying to study for my tests.. and i guess i'll have to study a bit harder since i didn't pass my last test..

i hope all you moms had a great mother's day.. i surely did! i got to watch a movie with hubby and our girls, we watched Rio.. i really loved the movie.. i loved it so much that i bought the angry birds rio version of it LOL!

las vegas was real fun when hubby and i went with karen and derick..  here are some pictures!

Me & Karen

Me & My amazing hubby

Forgot where in vegas this was lol
but Me & Hubby.. love him!!!

We had so much fun at las vegas.. hope to go again, this time we'd probably see some shows this time around.. wish we got to see the jabbawockeez =/ but nonetheless it was super fun.. it was actually our first time going anywhere from our girls.... so we wanted to rush home because we missed them so much!

but on the way home from vegas, hubby took me to the coach outlet and got me my first coach purse.. long story - i was going to get an LV speedy purse, but i decided not to lol... even though i had the chance.... (when we were in vegas)..

also on the way home.. we traded in my mazdaspeed3 for a mitsubishi lancer evolution X! love this car! :)

gah i have just SOO much to catch up on.. didn't help that blogger was down for what felt like an eternity.... but i guess this will do for now.. super sore from today's gym session with hubby.. i did legs today.. if you looked at the previous post - i pretty much did the same thing :D sorry been slacking on my posts... but family & school come first!! :)

anyway - till tomorrow's blog.... tooooooodles!

Gym Session :: 04/23/2011

Hey Everyone! It's been awhile since my last gym session. but i decided to go today even though I wasn't really cleared to go. I had my MRI monday evening for my left knee. I'm waiting for the results - so hopefully this week i'll find out what the problem is!

anywho, today i did legs, biceps and abs

Biceps:
- Seated Alternating curls - 15lb dumbbells each hand - 5 sets of 5 repetitions
- Hammer Curls - 15lb dumbbells each hand - 3 sets of 8 repetitions

Abs:
- crunches - 3 sets of 30 (machine)

Legs:
- Squats - 105lbs (on olympic bar + weights) - 5 sets of 5 repetitions
- Seated Leg extensions (machine) - 40lbs - 3 sets of 12 repetitions
- Leg Curls (machine) 50lbs - 3 sets of 8 repetitions
- Seated Calf raises- 35lbs - 3 sets of 8 repetitions

That pretty much sums of my workout for today. i tried not to go too hard on my knee.. so far it's still a little bit painful - but i'm fine :)

but of course i messed up my right shoulder so.. yea.. lol im icing it up - hopefully it's nothing.. until tomorrow's workout!
